Gyrano Church will probably move to Serie A. The Telegraph reports on Monday that the FC Utrecht attacker has reached a personal agreement with Cagliari on a contract for four seasons. We now have to wait for a personal agreement between both clubs. The Eredivisie club would bet on a transfer fee of around ten million euros.

There is still a serious gap between supply and demand. Where FC Utrecht thinks of ten million, Cagliari has made a bid of up to seven million euros in the Dom City. Technical director Jordy Zuidam is in an excellent negotiating position, as Kerk’s contract in Galgenwaard Stadium will run for another three years. Trainer John van den Brom would prefer to keep Kerk there this season. However, the club also realizes that Kerk can make a big step from a sporting and financial point of view.

Earlier in the day, the same newspaper reported that Cagliari was one of the serious contenders for the arrival of Kerk. Three clubs would be concrete, including Hellas Verona. Should Kerk be sold, the club already has a replacement in house with Daniel Arzani. The Australian winger came over this transfer period on a rental basis from Manchester City.

Cagliari finished thirteenth in Serie A last season and wants to be better in the current football season. A compulsory purchase option ensured that the previously hired Marko Rog and Giovanni Simeone, Diego Simeone’s eldest son, were definitively added to the selection for an amount between 25 and 30 million euros. The transfer-free arrival of Diego Godin from Internazionale is also about to be completed. Razvan Marin also came to Sardinia on a rental basis from Ajax, including a mandatory purchase option.
