Kees van Wonderen is in his final months as head coach of Go Ahead Eagles. The 52-year-old coach, who has an expiring contract, has decided to leave De Adelaarshorst after the end of this season. Van Wonderen has been associated with since 2020 as a trainer the Eagles. The number eleven in the Eredivisie will use the coming period to find a successor for him.
“The reason for this is actually not exciting,” explains Van Wonderen on the Go Ahead website on Friday. “Just as football players are sometimes ready for a new challenge, a new adventure, so will I next summer.
