Karim Benzema can sign a very lucrative contract with a club in Saudi Arabia, Fabrizio Romano, among others, reported on Tuesday. The 35-year-old striker of Real Madrid can reportedly sign a two-year contract in the Middle East and collect around 400 million euros in that period. Benzema is now seriously considering making the step towards the Saudi league in the autumn of his career.

Real Madrid has been informed by the Benzema camp of the interest from Saudi Arabia and it is expected that decisions will be made in the short term. Benzema indicated internally last year that he would like to extend for a season at The Royal, but doubts have now arisen about this. The seasoned attacker from France will run out of his contract in the Spanish capital on June 30. ASH knows, however, that a so-called Ballon d’Or clause has been included in his contract, which means that he will automatically remain linked to Real Madrid for another year. Benzema won the prestigious prize for the first time in October last year.

Saudi Arabia wants to take on the organization of the World Cup in 2030 and in that context they are looking for ways to boost the profile of the country. The arrival of Benzema should provide a positive impulse. Al-Nassr managed to get Cristiano Ronaldo in January and there have also been rumors for some time about the arrival of Lionel Messi, who seems to be leaving Paris Saint-Germain this summer anyway.

Benzema follow-up
Real Madrid is already considering the departure of Benzema, who has been with the club since 2009. According to the Spanish Relev Joselu (33) is close to a switch to the superpower from Madrid. The experienced striker comes over from the relegated Espanyol and will sign until mid-2024. Thanks to a so-called clause of descensoa relegation clause, Joselu is free to leave Espanyol on loan.
