The chance that Gianluigi Donnarumma will go to Juventus is increasing. The Italian newspaper Il Giornale Monday, the astronomical contract proposal reveals that la Vecchia Signora has deposited with the 22-year-old goalkeeper of AC Milan, who can leave on a free transfer. Donnarumma can earn ten million euros net per year at Juventus, while agent Mino Raiola has a sign premium of no less than twenty million euros.

Donnarumma also has the option to sign with AC Milan, but can reportedly earn eight million euros net per year there. That is an upgrade of two million euros compared to his current contract. Raiola would have asked Juventus for twelve million euros net per year for his client, but the great power from Turin would have gone two million euros under that. Donnarumma can sign with Juve for five seasons. AC Milan is aware of the Juventus proposal, but is not prepared to go further than the offer made earlier.

The most shocking thing about Juventus’ offerings are, according to Il Giornale the committees included in it. In addition to twenty million euros for Raiola, Alfonso Donnarumma, the father of the AC Milan goalkeeper, can count on a commission of three million euros. “Absurd figures in times of a post-pandemic crisis”, according to the newspaper, which calculates that Juventus would have spent a total of approximately 123 million euros on Donnarumma: 100 million euros in gross salary (spread over five seasons) plus 23 million euros in commissions .

Juventus does make the contract proposal under two conditions: first, the club must secure a ticket for the group stage of the Champions League. Andrea Pirlo’s team narrowly beat Udinese (1-2) on Sunday and is therefore third. Furthermore, Juventus must first find a new home for Wojciech Szczesny, the current first goalkeeper. There is reportedly interest from the Premier League for the 31-year-old Pole.

In the background, the hard core of AC Milan is very dissatisfied with Donnarumma’s contract situation. Ultra’s demanded on Sunday that the goalie not come into action next weekend when Milan visits Juventus. Paolo Maldini, the technical director of i Rossoneri, has little understanding of the opinion of the hard core. “None of the supporters decides who plays and who doesn’t,” said Maldini. “Technical choices and contracts are up to the coach and the club. For that reason, all contract talks are frozen until the end of the season.”
