Juventus suffered a painful defeat in Serie A on Saturday evening. When they visited Lazio, it seemed like they would play a goalless draw for a long time, but in the 93rd minute the home team still scored: 1-0. As a result, the title is even further out of sight for the team of coach Massimiliano Allegri, which remains in third place for the time being. Lazio is now seventh.

Lazio dominated in the first half. The home team also had a nice chance through Valentín Castellanos, but his attempt ended up in the side netting.

Just before half time, Juventus also started to create some chances. Federico Chiesa in particular was dangerous. However, both of his attempts fell prey to goalkeeper Christos Mandas.

There were also some chances on both sides of the field in the second half. Andrea Cambiaso found Mandas' gloves, and Luis Alberto's attempt via Daniele Rugani went just wide.

Both teams seemed to be heading for a goalless draw, but Lazio scored just before the end. Adam Marusic headed in a cross from substitute Mattéo Guendouzi: 1-0.

That also turned out to be the final score. Juventus' deficit to leader Inter, which also has a game in hand, is no less than seventeen points with eight games to go.

Lazio, meanwhile, won the second game in a row since the departure of Maurizio Sarri more than two weeks ago. On March 16 they also won: 2-3 at Frosinone.
