Liverpool have tried unsuccessfully to free Federico Chiesa from Juventus. La Republica writes that the English superpower has made an offer of no less than one hundred million euros in Turin. However, for new manager Massimiliano Allegri, Chiesa is considered a player who is absolutely not for sale, which has led chairman Andrea Agnelli to sell Liverpool ‘no’.

Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp regarded Chiesea as an ideal addition to his 4-3-3 formation, which typically sees Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah forming the attacking line. Behind them, Klopp still has Diogo Jota and Xherdan Shaqiri at their disposal, but it seems Liverpool are looking to add another striker to the roster. At an earlier stage, Donyell Malen was associated with a switch to Anfield, but the the Dutch international will exchange PSV for Borussia Dortmund.

The Liverpool Echo recently also reported that Malen could earn more at Borussia Dortmund than at Liverpool. Yet are the Reds according to La Republica financially strong enough to make an offer of one hundred million euros for Chiesa. The 23-year-old wing attacker has had an excellent European Championship and crowned himself European champion with Italy, partly due to his goals in the eighth final against Austria (2-1 win after extra time) and in the semi-final against Spain (1-1 , Italy won on penalties).

Allegri, who will take over from Juventus this summer from the fired Andrea Pirlo, has no intention of selling Chiesa. The 31-time Italian international is currently still rented by Juventus from Fiorentina, which received a total of ten million euros last and this season. Juventus has a mandatory purchase option worth €40 million before the summer of 2022. Chiesa, who was previously linked to Manchester United, among others, has provisionally provided 14 goals and 10 assists in 43 official games for Juventus.
