Juventus have emerged in England in their tireless search for number nine, reports Gianluca Di Marzio, expert on the transfer market, and Thursday night’s Fabrizio Romano. According to Di Marzio la Vecchia Signora reached an agreement in principle with Olivier Giroud. The Chelsea striker could earn nine million euros in two seasons in Turin.

Juventus are also expected to play Chelsea in the short term. The Londoners are demanding five million euros for the 33-year-old striker, an amount that is manageable for the financially troubled Juventus. Giroud, who sits at Stamford Bridge for another year, is due to travel from Arsenal to Chelsea in January 2018 for seventeen million euros. Last season he scored 10 goals and 1 assist in 25 official matches.

Olivier Giroud will sign for two seasons at Allianz Stadium.

Romano in turn adds that Juventus inquired at Everton about Moise Kean. The 20-year-old striker was sold by the Italians for thirty million euros last year the toffees, but managed to make little impression in the Premier League. Juventus would like to hire Kean from Everton, but director of football Marcel Brands does not want to take part in a loan period after the big investment in the Italians a year ago.

The fact that Juventus are switching to Giroud has to do with the switch from Edin Dzeko. The Bosnian striker from AS Roma has personally agreed with Juventus, but his employer is holding back a transfer for the time being. Roma first want to bring in Arek Milik as a replacement for Dzeko, but an agreement with Napoli has been provisionally canceled. Roma have planned to offer Cengiz Ünder in return, but the Turk is no longer allowed to leave due to Nicolò Zaniolo’s serious knee injury. Due to the complications, a transition from Dzeko to Juve far away for now.

Juventus inquired in vain at Everton about Moise Kean.

Then there’s the soap around Luis Suárez from Barcelona. The 33-year-old Uruguayan also has a principle agreement with Juventus, where he wants to sign for two seasons, with the option for another year. Suárez must first agree with Barça on the termination of his contract there, but for now an agreement between them seems far. According to Di Marzio, an Italian language test is planned for Suárez next week. If he obtains it, Suárez will be eligible for a work permit in Italy.

Furthermore, the name of Edinson Cavani is also mentioned by Di Marzio. The striker left Paris Saint-Germain with a free transfer and apparently signed with Benfica, but the transfer turned down the financial demands of the 33-year-old Uruguayan. According to Di Marzio, who has become the last hours for him, Cavani’s name is in Turin, but the forward is on his way to Atlético Madrid.
