Juventus are keen to strengthen the midfield for next season. La Vecchia Signora is preparing an official offer for Manuel Locatelli, the Italian branch of Goal. Juventus has thirty million euros plus Radu Dragusin for the 23-year-old midfielder of Sassuolo.

Locatelli has long been followed by Juventus and the Italian’s performance at the European Championship may have sparked interest. Locatelli, who has started in the absence of the injured Marco Verratti, excelled against Switzerland (3-0 win) by scoring the first two goals.

Juventus therefore offers, in addition to thirty million euros, the nineteen-year-old Dragusin, a Romanian center defender who has so far played in the main squad until four official duels. The question is whether
Sassuolo will accept the offer for Locatelli. The number eight of last season already set the asking price for the European Championship at 40 million euros and that amount will only have increased given the performance of the midfielder at the tournament.

Locatelli comes from AC Milan’s youth academy, for which he made 63 official appearances between 2015 and 2018 (2 goals and 1 assist). After an initial rental period of a season, Sassuolo decided to definitively sign the controlling midfielder in 2019 for fourteen million euros. Locatelli has been an undisputed starting player at the club for three seasons, making 99 appearances so far (7 goals and 11 assists). He has now worn the shirt of Italy twelve times.
