Megan Davison has caused a stir in England with a post on social media about vaccination policy. The wife of Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford shared on Instagram a photo of a so-called voodoo doll with needles and the text: ‘Just another booster to freedom.’ Davison previously shared a photo of a controversial corona demonstration in London on December 18. After a conversation between Pickford and the club management of Everton, the woman deleted the messages.

Pickford was pointed out by some Everton employees of his wife’s ‘riot act’ on social media. Everton club officials recently held talks with some players to point out their loved ones’ behavior on social media channels. The Sun writes that Pickford has therefore advised his wife to remove a controversial vaccination post. Davison shared a voodoo doll with dozens of pins in it that read, “Just another booster to freedom.” Clubs in the Premier League are doing everything they can to get as many people as possible vaccinated.

The commotion comes a month after Davison sparked controversy with the sharing of another post supporting anti-vaxxers. The Englishman shared a photo of the so-called Freedom March, which led to chaotic scenes in central London on December 18. The demonstration was labeled high-risk by London Mayor Sadiq Khan and was attended by thousands of anti-vaxxers following new measures to contain the spread of the omikron variant of the coronavirus.

In the photo Davison shared was a sign that read, “Even if you’re not conspiratorial, there must be something in your soul saying that something is wrong.” Davison is not the first woman to embarrass an Everton player. The girlfriend of John Stones also spoke about the corona situation. “Don’t take a vaccine so you can travel because that ski trip means nothing and your human rights mean everything,” Olivia Naylor wrote on Instagram in December. “Even if you’re vaccinated, you can say ‘no’ to the evidence of it. It’s a serious violation of human rights.”
