Jayden Oosterwolde was involved in serious fan riots with Fenerbahçe on Sunday evening. Fenerbahçe won with a late goal at Trabzonspor (2-3) and was then attacked by hooligans. Images show how Oosterwolde, in anger, kicks a miscreant in the head who is lying on the ground.

The Fenerbahçe players celebrated quite exuberantly immediately afterwards. It sparked anger among Trabzonspor supporters. When Fenerbahçe players saw the first fan enter the field, they approached him.

Oosterwolde, ex-FC Twente player, also seems to be involved at that moment. His teammate Bright Osayi-Samuel was the first to get into a fight with the hooligan, who was in a fighting position but immediately fell to the ground. Then Oosterwolde came over to give the man a devastating kick to the side of the head.

Moreover, it appears that the hooligan in question entered the field armed. During his fight with Osayi-Samuel, the supporter dropped a strange object, resembling a stabbing weapon, on the field. The object was captured by a photographer.

Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya has now responded. An investigation is being launched into the disturbances surrounding Trabzonspor – Fenerbahçe.

Trabzonspor supporters also misbehaved during the match. Objects and fireworks were thrown towards the field. A linesman and ex-Ajax captain Dusan Tadic were hit as a result.

After the match the incidents became even more violent. After the blows that Osayi-Samuel and Oosterwolde dealt, many more supporters entered the field. Fenerbahçe players fled into the locker room. For safety reasons they had to stay there until 1:00 am. They then left for the airport under police escort.
