Internazionale took another big step on the way to the national title on Sunday afternoon. The team of trainer Antonio Conte was 1-0 too strong for Hellas Verona in-house. For a long time, the game seemed to be heading for a goalless draw, until substitute Matteo Darmian completed the verdict for the leader fifteen minutes before the end. The lead over AC Milan, which has to visit Lazio on Monday evening, is now thirteen points with five rounds of play. Juventus suffered another damage when visiting Fiorentina: 1-1.

Inter Milan – Hellas Verona 1-0
In an extremely disappointing first half, Inter, where Stefan de Vrij completed the ninety minutes, took the initiative. Lautaro Martínez and Achraf Hakimi were given opportunities to give the home team the lead early in the game, but were both inaccurate in the completion. Halfway through the first half, the visitors did something in return via Federico Dimarco. The defender seemed to have the ball for the shot, but saw how Samir Handanovic threw himself in front of the shot at the last moment and thus prevented a goal against. The well-organized Hellas had little trouble fending off Inter’s attacking intentions in the first act.

After the break, the pressure from the home team increased sharply. Martínez came face to face with Marco Silvestri after a nice solo, but failed to choose a corner and ran into the legs of the goalkeeper. Not much later, the same Martínez was pulled by the arm in a promising attack, after which referee Rosario Abisso awarded the leader a free kick. Hakimi suddenly tried from about thirty meters and looked for the right intersection, but had to watch his bet shatter on the pole. Fifteen minutes before the end, Inter still took the game. Ten minutes after his substitution, the upcoming Darmian got the ball on the left side in the barrel of Hakimi and easily pushed the ball through the middle: 1-0.

Fiorentina – Juventus 1 – 1
With Matthijs de Ligt in the starting line-up, it was a long wait before either team caused the first moment of excitement. Erick Pulgar appeared to have the opening goal on the shoe halfway through the first half with a shot from the edge of the box, but saw his attempt land on the left post. Barely a minute later, the home team screamed for a penalty kick when Dusan Vlahovic went to the ground in Juventus’ sixteen. Referee Davide Massa did not want it. The penalty kick would follow after half an hour of play. Adrien Rabiot got the ball unluckily on the arm and saw how Vlahovic took advantage of the opportunity by sending Wojciech Szczesny into the wrong corner: 1-0.

Juventus had the opportunity to equalize before half time. An attempt by Aaron Ramsey went well wide of Bartlomiej Dragowski’s goal. Juventus managed to make a fist in the second half in an offensive way and that quickly resulted in the equalizer. Alvaro Morata was served on the edge of the penalty area by Juan Cuadrado and found the top left corner: 1-1. Massa was called to the screen by the VAR to assess a possible out-of-play situation, but stuck to his decision. In the final phase of the game, Juventus had opportunities to still take the win, but there would be no more goals.
