Juventus booked an important 3-2 win against Sampdoria in the Serie A on Sunday afternoon. Paulo Dybala gave the home team the lead early on, after which the score was doubled by Leonardo Bonucci just before half-time. Roberto D’Aversa’s team immediately did something in return via Maya Yoshida. Manuel Locatelli lay the old lady to shoot in safe harbor in the second half. Antonio Candreva’s connecting goal came just too late five minutes before the end. Dybala had to leave the field after twenty minutes injured and in tears. With the win, Massimiliano Allegri’s team rises to ninth place in the ranking, while Sampdoria occupies fourteenth place.

Matthijs de Ligt was again preferred by Allegri in the base over Giorgio Chiellini, while Mohamed Ihattaren was missing from the visitors. Juventus handed out some pinpricks in the opening phase and deservedly took the lead after ten minutes of play. A shot by Manuel Locatelli was blocked, after which the ball fell at Dybala’s feet. The Argentinian did not hesitate and shot from twenty meters low in the bottom corner: 1-0. Ten minutes later got the old lady a big setback, when Dybala left the field in tears. It seemed that the captain had to give up the fight due to a serious muscle injury. The question is therefore whether he will make it to the game with Chelsea in the Champions League next Wednesday.

Despite the lack of his captain, the game of Allegri’s team did not get any less. Substitute Dejan Kulusevski first had an excellent opportunity to head in outright, after which Juventus still came in 2-0. Federico Chiesa shot from close range in the box against Nicola Murru’s hand. Giovanni Ayroldi then pointed decisively to the penalty spot. The heavily punished handball was severely punished by Bonucci from eleven meters. Sampdoria then woke up. Fabio Quagliarella immediately seemed to give something back on behalf of the away team. However, his shot could still be stopped by Mattia Perin. In the attack on it, the connecting goal was still a fact. Yoshida headed the ball against the ropes uncovered on a pass from Candreva: 2-1.

Twelve minutes after the break, the home team managed to lift the margin to two. Chiesa initially took his individual action a little too far. After a poor defense by Omar Colley picked up Kulusevski, who put the ball wide on Locatelli who had followed. It was then a breeze for the midfielder to shoot the ball into the empty goal: 3-1. Fifteen minutes before the end, Rodrigo Betancur had a good opportunity to further expand the score. However, the midfielder shot straight at the hands of goalkeeper Emil Audero. The tension was reduced out of the blue in the final phase when Candreva shot in flawlessly from about ten meters, but Sampdoria did not get further than the connection goal.
