If it is up to Thom Haye, he has played his last game for NAC Breda. The 26-year-old midfielder can count on concrete interest from sc Heerenveen and hopes that a transfer will be completed as soon as possible. However, NAC is holding its ground for the time being and refusing to let its player leave, which led to irritation with Haye.

Haye spoke clear language about his future at the Breda club on Friday evening after the scoreless draw against FC Volendam. “Honestly, I assume that I have now played my last game for NAC,” he said in front of the camera ESPN. “If you look at how it has gone so far, how concrete Heerenveen is and what is on the table now, I actually expect from NAC that they can come out in a normal way in the coming days.”

“I understand very well that NAC also has to negotiate, but I’m actually a bit bothered by the way things are going at the moment,” continued Haye. “I think Heerenveen is doing very well and communicating fairly quickly and clearly. I have also spoken with the staff of NAC and the staff also indicate that I am ready for this step and that they grant me it. They expect it to be okay. So far it’s just been quite difficult.”

With the interview, Haye further increases the pressure. At the moment, NAC and Heerenveen are still in a stalemate. The Frisian club has made several bids since the beginning of this week, but has not yet managed to break the deadlock.BN DeStem reported that a first offer by NAC was resolutely brushed aside and then general manager Martijn Manders refused to name an amount for which the midfielder is for sale. He also gave no indication of what Heerenveen should think about.
