Mohamed Ihattaren recently tried to get a return to PSV, it reports Eindhovens Dagblad. However, the Eindhoven residents saw no point in a reconciliation and PSV denies that there has been contact with Ihattaren’s entourage in recent days. The nineteen-year-old attacking midfielder seems to be on his way to Ajax, which, according to the newspaper, will even immediately take him over from Juventus ‘perhaps’.

PSV is not the only club where Ihattaren’s name has fallen recently. Feyenoord Transfermarkt previously reported that Ihattaren had been unsuccessfully offered to Feyenoord and it was added on Thursday that this was due to the fact that he is “not fit” and has “motivation problems”. FC Utrecht was expressly interested in Ihattaren and even had an outline agreement with Juventus about a rental period for a year and a half. Due to ‘financial issues’ between Ihattaren and Juventus, the rental transfer to Utrecht could not be completed yet.

When Ajax’s interest trickled in, Utrecht was put on hold and the team from Amsterdam now seems to be continuing after a positive conversation between Ihattaren and trainer Erik ten Hag. Decisions may already be made on Thursday afternoon about a switch from Ihattaren to Ajax. At the moment there is a rental period for six or eighteen months on the table with an option to buy, but according to the Eindhovens Dagblad is there a possibility that Ajax will immediately and completely take over from Juventus.

In that case, PSV immediately looks forward to an amount of 1.9 million euros, an amount that the Eindhoven team would otherwise receive from Juventus at a later stage. Transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano reported earlier on Thursday that Juventus had given the green light for a rental period at Ajax. The exact content of the agreement is therefore still being discussed, but white smoke is expected in the short term.
