Zlatan Ibrahimovic made his comeback at AC Milan on Sunday. The attacker, who has been sidelined since May due to a knee injury, participated in the last half hour of the home game with Lazio in the Serie A: 2-0. The Swede, who certainly stood out with a braid in his hair, graced his return to the field with a goal. Due to the victory, the team of trainer Stefano Pioli remains clear for the time being with nine points from the first three matches.

Even without Ibrahimovic and the unfit Olivier Giroud, Milan did not go unpunished offensively in the first half: eleven goals against two from Lazio, which, with a 1-3 win over Empoli and a 6-1 win over Spezia, also did well. season in Serie A had started. Yet the first company only ended in 1-0, partly because a penalty kick was not used in extra time.

It was Rafael Leão who scored the opening goal just before half-time: after a one-two with Ante Rebic in the penalty area, he pushed the ball into the left corner behind goalkeeper José Manuel Reina. A few minutes later, thanks to the VAR, the ball went on the spot, when referee Daniele Chiffi took a closer look at a duel between Ciro Immobile and Franck Kessie. However, the midfielder shot the eleven-meter kick against the bar.

Ibrahimovic made his comeback after an hour of play as a replacement for Leao and only needed a few minutes to score his first goal of the season. After a good play from Rebic on the left, the Swede took advantage of Lazio’s passivity and worked the ball into the empty goal: 2-0. His goal was golden. The attacker has now found the net in no fewer than 24 competition seasons. That series started in 1999, when he broke through with the Swedish Malmö FF.

AC Milan will visit Liverpool next Wednesday as part of the Champions League and will play the top match at Juventus in a week. Lazio hopes for a better result in the home game against Udinese in a week. First, the team of coach Maurizio Sarri is still waiting for a duel with Galatasaray in the Europa League.
