Kevin Kampl is lyrical about Julian Nagelsmann, he said in an extensive interview with DAZN. The midfielder of RB Leipzig praises his coach for his knowledge and believes that Nagelsmann is currently the trainer with the most expertise of any coach in the world. According to Kampl, his German colleague has everything it takes to become a very big one.

The only 33-year-old Nagelsmann has been seen as a progressive trainer for years and this season with RB Leipzig is Bayern Munich’s main challenger in the battle for the title in the Bundesliga. “It seems as if he has been in the business for twenty years,” Kampl praises his trainer. “I have never seen a coach so obsessed with football and so much knowledge at that age. That is unbelievable. I think he is the only one in the world with that much football wit. He always knows how to prepare the team perfectly for matches and always has a good battle plan. I am sure Leipzig will not be his last club. He has a very big career ahead of him. ”

Nagelsmann, who is mentioned as one of the candidates to succeed Joachim Löw as national coach of Germany, is currently second in the Bundesliga with Leipzig, four points behind Bayern. “It is up to us to do the things he demands,” Kampl continues. “Sometimes you also need a little luck. If you always have Bayern in front of you, that’s the benchmark. That’s the best team in the world right now. It is very difficult for us to become champions, but we try to keep participating as long as possible. It would be a lie if we said we wouldn’t participate. ”

The German title fight will largely depend on the head-to-head on April 3, when Leipzig visits the Allianz Arena. Kampl is already tempering the sky-high expectations. “I wouldn’t want to classify ourselves as the absolute top club of all clubs in the world. We haven’t been playing in the Bundesliga long enough for that. Yet it is remarkable when you see what the club has built up over the years. You don’t often experience that in football. ”
