Kiki Musampa would welcome a transfer from PSV to Ajax from Mohamed Ihattaren. If he were in the chair of director of football affairs Marc Overmars, he would bring the PSV midfielder ‘one hundred percent’ to Amsterdam. The former player is of the opinion that PSV does not deal well with Ihattaren, despite the fact that the club has stated several times that everything has been done to help him as well as possible.

Ihattaren broke through in the 2018/19 season under trainer Mark van Bommel. He was seen as one of the greatest talents in the Dutch fields. He is experiencing a particularly difficult season under trainer Roger Schmidt. Ihattaren lost his regular starting place and was left out of the selection for the top match against Ajax earlier this year. PSV turned against Ihattaren by means of a statement because he had made himself impossible during the training. Musampa believes that the club management should have acted differently.

“At Ihattaren I have the feeling that he is not being helped and I think that is a shame. When I hear his trainer talk about him … Then I think: help a boy like that, protect him ”, Musampa said on Sunday morning at Good morning KNVB Cup. The former player of Ajax, Atlético Madrid and Manchester City, among others, emphasized that he relies on the stories he hears. “A trainer (Schmidt, ed.) Is coming and he has to achieve results. He is also not waiting for a project in which he has to put energy into it to get it running. PSV should help him. You hear a scream from everything: Help me! I don’t have the impression that that is happening. ”

Ihattaren was previously accused by Schmidt of returning too badly from vacation. “Yes, he may have come back too hard. But also think about his age and his personal situation, ”Musampa referred to the death of Ihattaren’s father last year. “He is in a dip for a while. Help him. The fact that he calls out after a goal: they want to destroy me, for me that is a sign of … ”, said Musampa, without finishing his sentence. Ihattaren scored on April 5 against Heracles Almelo (3-0) and then looked for the camera. “Nobody can destroy me, my friend. Nobody! ”Ihattaren cried.

“If you were Overmars and Ten Hag, would you take him for a price that suits Ajax?”, Hans Kraay junior asked Musampa. “One hundred percent. We all recognize the potential and talent he has. We all know that he can play football very well ”, the former player responded. “I have the impression that he would like to go to Ajax himself”, Kraay junior continued, to which Musampa replied: “One plus one is two, I would say. It’s all about getting that guy up and running, but you have to help him. He needs it. ”
