Jorge Mas, the co-owner of Inter Miami FC, believes Lionel Messi will play for his club in the future. According to various Spanish media, the Barcelona star has received a ten-year contract proposal from his current club from his current employer. Part of that is that Messi will play two seasons in Miami. “I am optimistic that Messi will complete his career in our shirt,” Mas said in conversation with Miami Herald.

Messi could sign for ten years, of which two more seasons as a Barcelona player, wrote TV3 before. The Argentinian would then move to Inter Miami for two years. It has been a long-cherished wish for Messi to play in Miami again, preferably with his good friend Luis Suarez, who moved from Barcelona to Atlético Madrid last summer. Once the Argentine has completed his football career in America, he can return as ambassador of Barcelona in the third phase.

Mas, who owns Inter Miami with David Beckham, is therefore confident that he can greet Messi at his club in a few years. “I’m optimistic because playing for Miami would be a beautiful ending for the greatest player of our generation,” said the American businessman. “In addition, it meets the ambitions of the owners of Inter Miami to build a world-class team.”
