René van der Gijp was quite disturbed by the behavior of Xavi Simons during the Netherlands’ match against Ireland (1-0 win). The former right winger believes that the RB Leipzig star player is behaving childish. “Xavi Simons, I think he will lick his mother’s breast every evening when he comes home,” said Van der Gijp in Today Inside.
“I think he’s still getting milk, so he can sit on that breast. In the evening his mother says: ‘Come and sit with me, little boy, on my lap.’ He’s still a kid man, come on. Become a man, man.”
Johan Derksen is also bothered by the theatrical behavior of the former PSV player. “That dissatisfied becky from that guy… He misses an opportunity, it’s something! He then looks as if his father, mother, grandfather and grandmother had all died in a car accident.”
“Have you ever shot a ball wide?” Van der Gijp asks Derksen. “Pure!” is the answer. “Yes, me too,” Van der Gijp continues to laugh. “I never thought about putting a shirt over my head, did I? Fuck off!”

Derksen writes off goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen for the Dutch team after his almost fatal blunder against Ireland. “That terrible goalkeeper… He is saved by the VAR,” said Derksen.
“A worthless goalkeeper. We only have one goalkeeper: Justin Bijlow. That Flek can’t do it, this one (Verbruggen, ed.) can’t do it, Noppert no longer picks up the ball and the one from Sparta (Nick Olij, ed.) is just a Sparta keeper.
Derksen concludes: “So if Bijlow is injured, we have a problem in this country.” Van der Gijp jokes: “Luckily he is always fit, hahaha.”
