Kylian Mbappé has no fewer than four fellow internationals in the French national team with Lucas Hernández, Benjamin Pavard, Kingsley Coman and Corentin Tolisso who play for Bayern Munich. He also regularly talks with this foursome about his future at club level. Hernandez already advised Mbappe in the run-up to the European Championship to exchange Paris Saint-Germain for Bayern this summer.

“Lucas Hernandez has already told me that I should come to Bayern,” Mbappe said in an interview with BILD. The star player of France and PSG cannot say whether a move to Munich is realistic. “In football you never know what will happen. But I am happy with my current situation.” Real Madrid has been seen for some time as the club with the best credentials to take over Mbappe from PSG, where he is still on a season.

Mbappe is in any case impressed by Bayern’s status in top international football. “Bayern is one of the five best clubs in the world,” emphasizes the coveted attacker of Les Bleus. “They really deserve a compliment for the fact that there is a very strong selection every year. They really know what they are doing there, there is a clear plan. For every prize that can be won, they are among the absolute top favourites. So in the future I will always have to beat Bayern to win a prize,” said Mbappe.

Bayern was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the Champions League by PSG, which won 2-3 in Munich thanks to two goals from Mbappé. The 0-1 victory in Paris was ultimately not enough for of the Rekordmeister to prevent shutdown. Mbappe opens the European Championship with France on June 15 with the top match against Germany in Group F.
