AC Milan is through to the play-offs of the Europa League tournament. The team of trainer Stefano Pioli won 3-2 against FK Bodö / Glimt on Thursday evening and will play an away match against the Portuguese Rio Ave in the next round. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who was struck down by the corona virus, was replaced by Lorenzo Colombo in the point of the attack. The youngster signed for 2-1, but Hakan Calhanoglu played the leading role. The playmaker scored twice and was also at the basis of Colombo’s goal.

Milan was already behind after fifteen minutes. Top talent Jens Petter Hauge passed Franck Kessie on the left very easily and Kasper Junker worked the ball from close by behind Gianluigi Donnarumma from his cross. Milan, however, put things in order before the break. After fifteen minutes of play, Calhanoglu received the ball from Ismaël Bennacer, he turned well and shot the leather from the edge of the penalty area high and hard in the top corner behind the hopeless Nikita Haikin: 1-1.

Calhanoglu was also, unintentionally or not, at the base of the 2-1. After a wonderful bout of i Rossoneri The Turk seemed to attempt a goal with a ball behind the standing leg, but the effort grew into an ideal pass for Colombo. The eighteen-year-old livened up his basic debut with a goal. Calhanoglu also signed for the 3-1 five minutes after the interruption. After a corner by Samu Castillejo from the right, the tastemaker took the ball on his shoe in one go and aimed the ball placed in the right corner.

Bodö / Glimt, however, soon narrowed the disadvantage. It was Hauge who sent the ball behind Donnarumma with a hard and slightly deflected shot in the 55th minute. However, the Norwegians, who had been too strong for Kauno Zalgiris and FK Zalgiris in the previous rounds with 6-1 and 3-1 respectively, were not capable of more.
