“I can’t believe it. I never expected that I would achieve this with my goal,” says Senesi. “It’s an incredible feeling to be presented with this award and I don’t really have words for it. How many times have I watched the goal? It was the best goal of my career, so I really watched the goal very often. show it to family and friends really often,” said Senesi.
The retired Arjen Robben also received the Eredivisie oeuvre prize, a ‘new’ prize awarded to a player with exceptional service and significance for Dutch football. Björn Kuipers has been named Referee of the Year. The retiring referee had a great season, which he ended by guiding the European Championship final between Italy and England.
