Xavi has revealed Barcelona’s line-up for Sunday afternoon’s away game against Elche. Just like a week ago, Depay starts on the bench against Athletic Club (4-2 victory). Luuk de Jong and Sergiño Dest also have a reserve role with the Catalan visitors. Frenkie de Jong will simply start the away match from Barcelona in LaLiga, which starts at 4.15 pm.

Depay returned last week after a period of injury and the the Dutch international graced his return with a goal in stoppage time. Luuk de Jong also managed to find the net in the Camp Nou. However, Xavi has decided not to grant Depay a starting spot against Elche. The front line of Barcelona consists of Ousmane Dembélé, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Gavi. The middle line is formed by Frenkie de Jong, Sergio Busquets and Pedri. Starting in the back are Dani Alves, Gerard Pique, Ronald Araújo and Jordi Alba, whose position was taken by Dest a week ago. Marc-André ter Stegen is once again under the bar. Adama Traoré and Ferran Torres, who were still basic players last week, keep the bench warm, just like Depay.

Elche line-up:

Barcelona line-up: Ter Stegen; Alves, Araújo, Pique, Alba; Frenkie de Jong, Busquets, Pedri; Dembele, Aubameyang, Gavi.
