The Kitchen Champion Division was again marred by a racism incident on Friday evening. FC Dordrecht defender Seydine N’Diaye got into a fight in his own stadium with the away supporters of MVV Maastricht, who racially treated the Frenchman at the end of the game. N’Diaye immediately sought help from the assistant referee and to his surprise was given a yellow card by referee Richard Martens. Then N’Diaye himself sought a confrontation with the perpetrator, whom he pointed to with an accusing finger. The defender wanted to attack the supporter, but was stopped by other players. The game was stopped in the 90th minute and would not be resumed. N’Diaye went home furious, added ESPNpresenter Pascal Kamperman.

FC Dordrecht – MVV Maastricht 3-1
MVV started the game well by quickly taking the lead. Orhan Dzepar reacted alertly by tapping in a low cross from Sven Blummel: 0-1. Stijn Meijer failed to score the equalizer via a penalty, which the Dordrecht striker hit the post, after which Mathis Suray also hit the post moments later. After the break, Dordrecht still made a stunning comeback. From one of the many corner kicks, Zakaria El Azzouzi walked in the 1-1, after which Christian Conteh made it 2-1 after a nice attack. Meijer signed for the curious 3-1 in the final phase, which seemed to be disallowed due to offside, after which the assistant referee pulled his flag down.

In the final phase, the racism incident around N’Diaye followed, after which the match was stopped. The players returned to the field after fifteen minutes and knelt. Martens then whistled immediately before the final whistle. N’Diaye was already gone. Hans Kraay junior takes it in the studio of ESPN up for the victim. “Good for that boy that he leaves home without taking a shower,” said the analyst.

FC Volendam – Helmond Sport 4-1

Emmen fought back quickly after the break and, thanks to a rebound from Reda Karchouch, was level again, after Calvin Raatsie was able to save on a bet by Mart Lieder: 1-1. Huge chances for the 2-1 were then not for Karchouch and Rui-Jorge Mendes, also because Regeer took a ball off the line. Minutes later, Karchouch still managed to tap in, after Raatsie saved on a shot by Mendes: 2-1. Young Ajax had enormous opportunities to take a point, but Michael Brouwer saved on a slip by Kristian Hlynsson, who did not look for the corner enough.

De Graafschap – FC Den Bosch 0-0
De Graafschap needed a victory to be able to reconnect with the top of the rankings and was also emphatically looking for that. However, the Superboers turned out to be unhappy in the finish. For example, a shot by Johnatan Opoku was cracked and the striker headed just over a little later. After the break, Giovanni Korte peered over a falling ball, while Sam Hendriks ruined a promising rebound by shooting goalkeeper Wouter van der Steen.
