Lisandro Martínez does not understand the red card that Nicolás Tagliafico received on Sunday afternoon in the first half between Sparta Rotterdam and Ajax. Tagliafico was sent off after half an hour due to a handball, which left Ajax halfway with ten men.

Tagliafico had to come in with a direct red card after 27 minutes this afternoon. The incident took place in the half of Ajax after Lennart Thy penetrated to Mohamed Rayhi. Tagliafico then attempted to defuse the attack with a tackle, but got the ball on his hand. As the Argentine was the last defender, the incident was punished by the referee Jochem Kamphuis with a red card.

Martínez, who himself is missing due to an injury at Ajax, directs his arrows via Twitter at Kamphuis and the rest of the arbitration. “A red card? My God,” the Argentine midfielder / maliciously wrote. “A lot of theory, but little knowledge in practice”, snorts Martínez.

Not long after the red card for Tagliafico, Sparta faced a downer as it was Ajax who took the lead. Just less than ten minutes after the forced departure of Tagliafico, Antony shot his first official goal as an Ajax player past Benjamin van Leer. A shot from about twenty yards from the Brazilian was too powerful for the goalkeeper. That was the only goal in the middle.
