Arsenal striker Reiss Nelson is due to appear in court in September after his dog allegedly attacked a massage therapist, it has been reported GOAL. According to reports, Tiago, the dog of the former Feyenoord mercenary, attacked masseur Saied Motaali during a visit to the player’s home. The attack resulted in injuries to the masseur, who later pressed charges against Nelson.

Nelson denied the charges on October 31 last year and was granted unconditional bail pending trial on September 4, 2023. A criminal charge of failing to control a dog can subject dog owners in Britain to an unlimited fine, depending on the incident. or imprisonment for up to six months (or both). The outcome of the trial against the Arsenal striker remains to be seen.

Nelson has played a limited role in the successful season of the Gunners. However, his impact was enormous. In eleven league matches he was good for three assists and as many goals. Last month he showed his worth by scoring the winning goal as a substitute against AFC Bournemouth (3-2) deep into stoppage time, keeping Arsenal top of the Premier League.

The former England youth international has been under contract with Arsenal since 2015. Nelson got sidetracked at the Emirates Stadium in 2021 and then got the chance to show himself at Feyenoord on a rental basis last season. In Rotterdam, Nelson scored four goals and seven assists in 32 official matches.
