National coach Andriy Shevchenko has released the final European Championship selection of Ukraine. The co-organizer of the European Championship in 2012 is one of the opponents of the Dutch national team in the group stage this summer. For the goals, the AA Gent striker Roman Yaremchuk will be looked at in particular, especially since Shakhtar Donetsk striker Júnior Moraes has to pass the tournament due to an injury.

Ukraine can immediately get to work in the group phase, because on June 13 the the Dutch will be the opponent in the Johan Cruijff ArenA. Four days later, on June 17, the confrontation with European Championship debutant North Macedonia awaits in Bucharest. Austria is the last test for Shevchenko’s group stage formation in Bucharest on 21 June.

Yaremchuk managed to find the net 7 times so far in 22 international matches on behalf of Ukraine. In the most recent World Cup qualifying match against Kazakhstan (1-1), he signed for the home country’s only goal. Fellow attacker Júnior Moraes saved a point in the meeting with European Championship debutant Finland (1-1) a few days before, but is recovering from surgery and is not fit enough to play at the European Championship. Another eye-catcher is Ruslan Malinovskyi of Atalanta, who played twice more against Ajax in the Champions League.
