Orkun Kökçü is the new number 10 of Feyenoord. The creative midfielder played with number 23 last season, but due to the departure of Steven Berghuis to Ajax, number 10 has become available in De Kuip. Feyenoord announces the switch with a playful video via social media.
In the video, Kökçü creates a group chat with Jens Toornstra and Bryan Linssen, who both had to take a new phone number after leaking screenshots from a chat of the selection. “Hey boys! I’ll also send you my new number”, Kökçü writes with a wink, after which he adds a photo of himself with his new shirt. Toornstra and Linssen react in exactly the same way as they did in the leaked screenshot after Berghuis left the group chat.
