Feyenoord will start the 2024/25 season with a 'refreshed logo', according to the Rotterdam club's website on Monday. The new logo has now been approved by the Stichting Continuïteit (StiCo), which monitors Feyenoord's cultural heritage.

Feyenoord emphasizes in the reporting about the new logo that a total of four adjustments have been made. “A tighter alignment of the words 'Feyenoord' and 'Rotterdam', by making the space between the letters the same everywhere.”

“The left half of the logo has been given a brighter shade of red and the characteristic F from the logo has been placed exactly in the middle. In addition, the golden dividing line between the red and white has been removed,” can be read in the explanation surrounding the new Feyenoord logo.

Feyenoord emphasizes that the club is 'going back to basics' with the new logo. “Since the first version of the current logo also did not contain a dividing line.”

Not the first time

Incidentally, it is not the first time in the club's history that Feyenoord has opted for a new logo. Over the years, various variations have been reviewed.

The last change dates back fifteen years. In the 2008-2009 season, Feyenoord used a special anniversary logo because of the club's centenary.

New visual identity

The new logo is part of Feyenoord's new visual identity, which will be fully implemented in Rotterdam from this summer. “The complete implementation of this house style, including the new logo, is still a major operation, which will take up almost the entire coming season. The final part of this will be the new shirt for 2025-2026, which will feature the new logo.”
