If it is up to Ibrahim Afellay, Danilo will play in the shirt of Feyenoord this season. The Ajax striker hardly gets to play in Amsterdam and, according to the analyst, must fill the striker position at Feyenoord, he told Friday at Eredivisie on Friday at the NOS. Feyenoord is still looking for a new striker, as Naoufal Bannis and Róbert Bozeník are not considered good enough. Bryan Linssen is currently preferred by Arne Slot.

At Ajax, Danilo has Sébastien Haller and Dusan Tadic in front of him in the point of the attack. Last season, the attacker was rented out to FC Twente, where he barely managed to score after an extremely productive first half of the season after the winter. “If I were Feyenoord I would make a very sweet phone call to Amsterdam to see if they might be able to hire Danilo,” Afellay said on Friday evening.

Feyenoord has been linked to many players in recent weeks to fill the striker position. For example, the name of Joshua Zirkzee was frequently mentioned and Graziano Pellè was also briefly associated with a return to Rotterdam. “I think that is a very interesting player for Feyenoord,” Afellay continues. “It is a win-win situation: for Ajax he keeps his market value and I think he is certainly an addition to Feyenoord’s game.”

So far, Slot seems to prefer Linssen in the striker, who has been in the tip of the attack at Feyenoord in recent weeks. In the battle for the Conference League against FC Luzern, Linssen was flanked by Luis Sinisterra and Alireza Jahanbakhsh. The latter was forced out last Thursday with an injury and had to be replaced by Bozeník on the stroke of half-time. The other striker, Bannis, came in for Sinisterra fifteen minutes before time.
