Latest update:

Feyenoord is going to get involved again in the battle for Couhaib Driouech, it is claimed 1908.nl. According to the Rotterdam fan medium, Feyenoord has now submitted a formal offer of more than four million euros in Kralingen, after it turned out that Bryan Gil would be 'unfeasible'.

The soap opera surrounding Driouech now has many chapters. PSV served according to it Eindhovens Dagblad had already submitted a bid earlier in the day, worth more than four million euros.

Feyenoord has according to 1908.nl the same offer has now also been placed on the table at Excelsior. The Stadium club This seems to give him an advantage over the people of Eindhoven.

That has everything to do with Leo Sauer. The reason that Driouech, who would love to go to PSV, has not yet moved to Eindhoven is that Excelsior did not yet have a replacement for the attacker.

That would not be a problem in a possible deal with Feyenoord. Sauer, Feyenoord's young left forward, would take the opposite path on a rental basis. The Slovak must extend his contract for this, but there are 'concrete lines' for this, according to the fansite.

For example, in Kralingen they would not have to rush to find a replacement in the last hours of the transfer market, but could 'simply' rent one from the fellow townsman.

After missing out on Gil and the Uruguayan Luciano Rodriguez, Rotterdam policy makers are now fully focused on Driouech. The ball therefore seems to be in the attacker's court, while a record transfer beckons for Excelsior in any case.
