Feyenoord has strengthened itself with Marcus Holmgren Pedersen, the club confirms through the official channels on Tuesday afternoon. The Norwegian right back comes over from Molde FK and signs a contract for five seasons. Pedersen will therefore be fixed in South Rotterdam until the summer of 2026. The defender is expected to join the rest of the selection in early July. Pedersen is the second addition to the new season for Feyenoord. Earlier, the club strengthened itself with Guus Til, who is rented for one season from the Russian Spartak Moscow.

Pedersen went through the youth academy of Tromsö, where he also made his debut in the main squad in 2018. Last February, Molde decided to take over the defender and sign for three years. Last season, the defender at Molde was not always a fixed value in the right back position. In total he made 25 appearances, of which 20 times as a basic player. In it he managed to find the net twice. In the Europa League he made ten appearances, of which he started eight times from the kick-off. Molde stranded in the European tournament in the eighth finals, when the Spanish Granada proved too strong over two matches.

On the Feyenoord website, Pedersen says he is looking forward to his time with the Rotterdam team. “Feyenoord is the ideal club for me to develop further,” said the Norwegian. “The new adventure I was looking for. The Dutch league and the way many teams play are already quite familiar to me. I am really looking forward to meeting my teammates, the staff and of course the supporters. And above all the feel the atmosphere of the full cockpit.”

Technical director Frank Arnesen is also pleased with the arrival of Pedersen. “With the signing of Marcus, the position of right back is again sufficiently occupied,” said Arnesen. “He is a talented boy who for his age also has the necessary European competition minutes in his legs. Important because we also have to start early on that podium. In addition to his defensive qualities, he is also involved in various ways as an upcoming back. We are confident that he will take the next steps in his development here at Feyenoord.”
