Feyenoord manages to tie Justin Bijlow to the club longer. The 23-year-old goalkeeper goes according to Football International sign a new contract shortly. Bijlow is currently fixed until mid-2023 and will add ‘a number of years’ to that, the weekly reports.

Bijlow is a product of Varkenoord and broke through in the first team in 2017. The goalkeeper became first choice under the bar in the 2018/19 season, but came into action relatively little due to frequent injuries. Last season Dick Advocaat often had to rely on second goalkeeper Nick Marsman. In total, Bijlow is on 55 matches in the first team of Feyenoord, in which he kept 20 zeros.

Bijlow can look forward to a possible debut for the the Dutch squad, because he is in the pre-selection of Louis van Gaal’s Dutch national team. Maarten Stekelenburg, the goalkeeper of the Dutch national team at the European Championship, has retired and Jasper Cillessen is not there due to an injury. Bijlow is competing for a place under the bar with Remko Pasveer of Ajax, Joël Drommel of PSV and Tim Krul of Norwich City.
