Feyenoord are again doing business in the international transfer market. It Algemeen Dagblad On Wednesday, Norwegian defender Sondre Skogen announced that he will soon join the Under 21 team of the Rotterdam club. Feyenoord picked up Mikael Törset Johnsen, the brother of former Ajacied Dennis Johnsen, from Norway not so long ago.

The only twenty-year-old Skogen comes from Rosenborg BK, where his contract lasted until the end of December this year. The Norwegian youth international was on the bench with the main force a few times, but playing minutes were not yet given to him. Skogen was in the past also captain of the B-team of Rosenborg BK. According to the newspaper, the man is continuing on a hire basis at Feyenoord. A decision on a definitive transfer will be an option at a later stage.

The arrival of Skogen at De Kuip is bad news for Noah Lewis. According to the Algemeen Dagblad the 20-year-old defender has to leave the club. Lewis has been part of Feyenoord’s youth training for a couple of years, although there was no breakthrough in the main force. The youngster was leased to FC Dordrecht last season, where he played twelve games. His contract in Rotterdam-Zuid will continue for another year.

Feyenoord also recently attracted Bernardo Silva for the Under 21 team. The club management are doing everything in their power to make the youth team champion this season. They could then enter the football pyramid, which could lead to promotion to the Second Division. However, this is subject to KNVB rules. If Jong Sparta and Jong FC Volendam, the only professional clubs in the Second Division, end up in the top nine, then a Feyenoord Under-21 championship is worth nothing. If Sparta or FC Volendam finish in first place, the Rotterdammers will only be promoted to the bottom two this year. With ten to sixteen play-offs at the end of the season.
