Fenerbahce continues the good series of the last weeks. The team of trainer Erol Bulut was 3-1 too strong for Trabzonspor on Sunday evening, which did not start the season well. Fenerbahce is fourteen points after the third victory in a row and is two points behind the surprising leader of the Süper Lig, Alanyaspor. Trabzonspor has won only one game so far and is just above the red line with five points.

After just over twenty minutes of play, Trabzonspor took the lead. Two players from Fenerbahce mistakenly entered an aerial duel for the ball, after which the leather ended up with Benik Afobe. The attacker could not get off the ball and carefully shot the leather in the right corner: 0-1. An own goal in the 51st minute meant the equalizing goal. After a header from Marcel Tisserand from a corner from the right, the ball went against the post and then over the legs of Serkan Asan.

Fenerbahce then quickly took over the game. After a good counterattack, Dimitrios Pelkas handed the ball in to Enner Valencia, who made it 2-1 with a low and hard shot. Just under twenty minutes before the end, Edgar Ié unluckily headed a corner from the left towards the far post, where Papiss Cissé almost worked the ball against the ropes on the goal line. Ferdi Kadioglu was not present due to injuries.
