Fenerbahçe did what it had to do in the battle for the Turkish league title. The team of coach Ismail Kartal led 0-2 at halftime at Trabzonspor thanks to a double from Fred and two assists from Dusan Tadic, which came back to 2-2 after the break. Just before the end, Michy Batshuayi made the all-important 2-3, making Fenerbahçe two points behind leader Galatasaray (79 to 81). The second half was completely marred. For example, Tadic and Dominik Livakovic were hit by objects from the crowd and heavy fireworks were thrown onto the field.
