FC Volendam cannot be stopped in the Kitchen Champion Division. The team of trainer Wim Jonk won no less than 7-1 against FC Dordrecht on Friday evening, which means that the North Hollanders have retained fourteen points from the last six matches. At the same time, Jong Ajax was also on track and closed the visit to MVV with a 1-5 victory. NEC recorded the third victory in the last four games, 2-1, at the expense of Go Ahead Eagles, and Sebastian Soto played a leading role in the 2-0 win over Helmond Sport.

FC Volendam – FC Dordrecht 7-1
Although the visitors were dangerous a few times in the first half, after the halftime signal sounded, there was an intermediate score of no less than 4-0 on the scoreboard. Jonk’s team already led 2-0 after seven minutes: Francesco Antonucci took care of the 1-0 after a corner kicked off and not much later Derry John Murkin finished nicely at the far post after preparatory work by Boy Deul. After more than half an hour of play, Samuele Mulattieri headed in the 3-0 and the Italian also headed the 4-0 against the ropes in extra time. Nick Doodeman, the man of ‘8 assists in 106 minutes’, was not involved in one of the hits this time.

Nordin Bakker stood in the way of some goals from FC Dordrecht in the first 45 minutes, but a few minutes after the break he was unable to prevent Gianni dos Santos from using a rebound: 4-1. FC Volendam got away well after a bet by Richie Musaba on the post, but then scored three more times. Murkin slipped into the 5-1 on the instructions of Leon Maloney and a delicious wippertje from Martijn Kaars after preparatory work by Murkin meant the 6-1. A volley by debutant Dean James ended the game in 7-1.

MVV – Young Ajax 1-5
In the first twenty minutes, the teams of Ron Elsen and Mitchell van der Gaag were evenly matched, but then the home team took the lead. Jerome Deom cashed in a rebound: 1-0. The lead was short lived, as a placed bet by Max de Waal two minutes later already meant the 1-1. Seven minutes after the break Jong Ajax came 1-2: Devyne Rensch pushed the ball in on a pass from Youri Regeer. The visitors then continued on through Nordin Musampa, who headed in a free kick from De Waal, and Giovanni, with a hit in the short corner after a nice through ball from Enric Llansana. Substitute Naci Ünuvar determined the final score in Maastricht: 1-5.

NEC – Go Ahead Eagles 2-1
Rogier Meijer’s team came to 1-0 after just over twenty minutes of play. A corner from Jordy Bruijn was not well cleared by the defense of Go Ahead Eagles and Javier Vet worked the ball in the turn. Two minutes after the break NEC came to 2-0 and again it was from a corner: Rangelo Janga tapped the ball behind Jay Gorter. The visitor from Deventer played a good second half and scored after more than an hour of play: Luuk Brouwers headed the ball into the long corner. It was mainly thanks to Norbert Alblas that NEC got three points from the game.

Telstar – Helmond Sport 2-0
The scoreboard did not move in the first half, but it was not due to the odds. For example, a shot by Welat Cagro hit the post and ten minutes before half time Glynor Plet took a ball off the goal line. The entrance of Sebastian Soto at the expense of Gyliano van Velzen after the break was a golden change. A few minutes after the break, the attacker shot the ball wonderfully into the far corner after a pass from Cagro: 1-0. Soto also took the 2-0 on his account: after a volley by Shayne Pattynama, he headed in from close range.
