FC Utrecht has immediately reinforced itself with Moussa Sylla. The twenty year old striker is transferred free, after he was without a club after leaving AS Monaco. The French youth international has signed a three-year contract in the Domstad. The agreement includes an option to continue with each other for another year.

“Moussa is one of France’s greatest offensive talents. It makes us proud that he chose FC Utrecht in this phase of his career. Moussa is certainly as ambitious as we are”, says technical director Jordy Zuidam on the club website. “With Moussa we achieve a striker with a lot of power and speed. He plays with a lot of energy and can create opportunities out of nothing. A player with a lot of potential.” Sylla is going to play in the Eredivisie with number 29.

Sylla, a 25-time youth international, made his debut in the Ligue 1 near Monaco in 2018. He played a total of 24 matches at the highest level of Frankrjik and came into action six times in the Champions Legaue. The now departed trainer Thierry Henry let him start four times from the base in the billiard ball. In all leagues the young striker scored four goals. Last season he came to play less often, so he decided to leave Monaco.
