The meeting between FC Eindhoven and Roda JC Kerkrade in the Kitchen Champion Division did not result in a winner on Tuesday evening. The meeting in the Jan Louwers Stadium ended in 3-3 thanks to a late goal from the home team. A hard blow for the team of Jurgen Streppel, which otherwise would have booked the fourth victory in the first five matches. Roda is fifth with ten points from five games and will play at home against FC Volendam on Sunday.

After more than twenty minutes there was already an intermediate score of 2-3 on the scoreboard. It was FC Eindhoven, where Bart Biemans quickly fell out injured, which took the lead after seven minutes. Kaj de Rooij was turned away on the left by Iker Pozo. He put the ball back, where Hugo Botermans simply finished it: 0-1. Roda turned the gap in four minutes: Patrick Pflücke leveled the score with a shot from the edge of the sixteen-meter area and he was also at the base of Roland Alberg’s 1-2, who placed the leather coolly behind goalkeeper Thom Jonkerman .

A foul by Flor Van den Eynden on Richard Jensen resulted in a penalty kick for Roda JC and it was Alberg who made his second of the evening from eleven meters. A few minutes later FC Eindhoven again reduced the disadvantageous margin. Kaj de Rooij received the ball from Jort Van der Sande and saw his shot being diverted along the way by Kees Luijckx and finishing behind goalkeeper Youri Roulaux: 2-3. The game in the remainder of the second half waved up and down, with a good chance for base debutant Fabian Serrarens on the side of the Limburgers.

Roda JC had a harder time with FC Eindhoven in the second half and tried to pass Jonkerman from a distance. Attempts by Jordy Croux and Robert Klaasen were prey for the keeper. Towards the final phase, FC Eindhoven started to assert itself more and more offensively and eventually the 3-3 followed just before time. Pozo fired on goal from the edge of the box and saw his deflected shot land in the bottom corner. FC Eindhoven is in seventh place with eight points and awaits a game with NEC next Saturday.
