Supporters of FC Den Bosch who attended the painful away match against PEC Zwolle (13-0) have received a present from the club. All fans who traveled along received a unique key ring, which fell on the doormat accompanied by a letter. “If you go on your Bossche face, you better do it well”, the club believes.

“Well, that was quite the game, a month ago in that Hanseatic city on the IJssel,” the letter begins. “To the hilarity of some outsiders and the downright disappointment of all those directly involved. It was a strange match. We know what losing is, but even for FC Den Bosch standards this was quite a lot. If you go on your Bossche face, you can better do good. You were there. You stood there and watched it. When everything works out, life is boring.”

According to the club, ‘there is promise in the disappointment’. “If we have something to celebrate later, you can say: that was then and this is now. You are a success supporter for a while, FC player for life. Heya Den Bosch!” The club gives its own supporters a heart under the belt. The fans all received a keychain with the text ‘Dè was kut!’. The action can count on sympathy from the supporters. “The perfect reaction. I wouldn’t have wanted to miss this game,” one of them writes on Twitter.

PEC Zwolle’s 13-0 win was the biggest in the history of Dutch professional football. The club equaled Ajax’s record, which was too strong for VVV-Venlo in October 2020 with the same figures. Due to the monster score, Den Bosch is the club with by far the most goals against in the Kitchen Champion Division: 75 pieces. Young Ajax, which is in second place with 59 goals against, has no fewer than sixteen goals against.
