There seems to be a good chance that Xavi Simons will also play his matches for RB Leipzig next year. According to transfer market experts Fabrizio Romano and Florian Plettenberg, the red bulls the best chance of temporarily incorporating the Dutchman.

Paris Saint-Germain, the club where Simons is under contract until mid-2027, has no intention of permanently selling Simons. Only a loan deal is negotiable.

In that context, Leipzig therefore seem to have the best credentials to have Simons in their ranks next season. Bayern Munich are not giving up yet, Romano emphasizes, although an agreement between PSG and the record champion is far away.

Désiré Doué is a concrete candidate in Bavaria to strengthen the selection, if Leipzig does indeed take Simons. The nineteen-year-old talent is owned by Stade Rennes and is, according to Transfer market worth about thirty million euros.

According to Plettenberg, it looks like Simons will also be playing his matches in the Red Bull Arena next year. The German journalist from Sky Sport even writes that the official announcement will follow soon, after Simons' vacation.

Bayern hoped to take over the creative player permanently – unlike Leipzig – but PSG did not agree. Presumably Simons will 'simply' return to the Parc des Princes after next season.

Some in France thought Simons would be the natural successor to Kylian Mbappé, who is leaving for Real Madrid, but the club's management in Paris seem to have a different opinion.
