Latest update:

Manchester United are working on the arrival of Noussair Mazraoui, according to Florian Plettenberg of the German branch of Sky SportThe Moroccan right-back is currently under contract with Bayern Munich, but the Germans are prepared to let him go for the right fee. If Mazraoui does indeed leave for Old Trafford, it will mean a reunion with manager Erik ten Hag.

However, there are more pirates on the coast. According to Plettenberg, in addition to Manchester United, West Ham United is also interested in the 26-year-old wing defender. “Mazraoui is at the top of the list at both clubs,” it sounds.

The first talks with the player are said to have already taken place. Bayern are open to Mazraoui leaving, but want to expect a fee of between 20 and 25 million euros.

Initially it was the record champion even planning to put a price tag of 30 million euros. According to Pletterberg, Bayern have realised that, given the current state of the transfer market, that is not a feasible option.

A transfer of Mazraoui does not seem an unrealistic scenario. Besides the fact that the 28-times international of Morocco can leave for the right offer, he himself would be open to an adventure in the Premier League.

Mazraoui has a contract with Bayern until mid-2028. In 2022, he signed on a free transfer in southern Germany, after the defender, born in Leiderdorp, left Ajax behind.

Since then, Mazraoui has played 55 matches for the German top club. He has never been uncontroversial and apparently he will not be under the new manager, Vincent Kompany.
