Atalanta have achieved an important victory in Serie A. The team of trainer Gian Piero Gasperini was 1-0 too strong for Fiorentina at home thanks to a goal by Ademola Lookman. Marten de Roon, Hans Hateboer and Teun Koopmeiners, who recovered from a head injury, were in the starting line-up at Atalanta. After an hour, Atalanta took the lead. A clever throw-in from Koopmeiners found Luis Muriel at the back line. The Colombian then squeezed past Lucas Martínez Quarta, among others, and gave Lookman an unmissable pass: 1-0. Joakim Mæhle got the chance to make it 2-0 after a failed offside fall with the visitors, but the wing defender placed the ball in Terracciano’s arms.
