PEC Zwolle won 2-0 against Telstar in the Kitchen Champion Division on Friday evening. Both goals were scored by Thomas van den Belt. If Almere City FC loses to ADO Den Haag on Sunday, the Zwollenars are sure of promotion to the Eredivisie. Heracles Almelo also won (1-0 against Roda JC), while VVV-Venlo and FC Eindhoven drew: 2-2

PEC Zwolle – Telstar 2-0
Thomas van den Belt scored the opening goal in the 23rd minute. The PEC midfielder avoided the wall with a free kick by hitting the ball low into the keeper’s corner: 1-0. Christos Giousis missed an excellent chance for the equalizer by shooting straight at goalkeeper Jasper Schendelaar. On the other side, Davey van den Bergh was unable to take advantage of a clumsy misunderstanding in the back at Telstar. In the 65th minute, the brand new Feyenoord purchase Van den Belt closed the game after all. A header from the right foot was too much for goalkeeper Ronald Koeman: 2-0.

Heracles Almelo – Roda JC 1-0
Emil Hansson returned to the base at Heracles after two games of absence and was already involved in a goal after fifteen minutes. A cross from the attacker was unfortunately slid into his own goal by Guus Joppen: 1-0. Because PEC also won, the Almelo residents are not catching any points. Number three Almere City will come into action on Sunday afternoon. Alex Pastoor’s team will then compete in The Hague against Dick Advocaat’s ADO.

VVV Venlo – FC Eindhoven 2-2
In a nice first half, the score was opened after half an hour of play: Mawouna Amevor calmly shot the ball in after a corner. Shortly after the break – also from a corner kick – VVV-Venlo equalized via Soulyman Allouch, who saw his attempt changed direction: 1-1. Halfway through the second half, after a goal had been prevented by the keepers on both sides, FC Eindhoven came 1-2 via Ozan Kökcü, who scored after a through ball from Sven van Doorm. Six minutes before the end, Nick Venema scored 2-2 in the far corner. Via Charles-Andreas Brym (blow on the bottom of the bar), Eindhoven was still close to victory.

TOP OSS – De Graafschap 3-3
The supporters of TOP Oss could cheer after just seven minutes when Kay Tejan managed to process a tailor-made cross from Jearl Margaritha into a goal 1-0. De Graafschap reacted three minutes later, when Basar Önal managed to find the short corner without hesitation: 1-1. After an hour of play, Oss right back Trevor David could just walk in with a cross: 2-1. Justin Mathieu then extended the score with a cunning heel: 3-1. Oss, however, relinquished the lead. After Camiel Neghli had made it 3-2 with a ticker, it was substitute Mees Kaandorp who hit the ball behind goalkeeper Thijs Jansen via the underside of the crossbar: 3-3.

FC Den Bosch – Helmond Sport 1-2
In the Brabant derby between Den Bosch and Helmond, the home team took the lead after 25 minutes. After a nice attack, it was Ryan Leijten who shot the ball hard into Helmond’s goal: 1-0. Just before the break, Helmond straightened his back, when Bram van Vlerken was allowed to take over in peace, and then successfully completed: 1-1. In the end, the visitors also took the win. A stupid foul by Gedion Zelalem led to a justified penalty, which was used by Martijn Kaars: 1-2.

MVV Maastricht – FC Dordrecht 2-1
MVV already had the necessary chances to take the lead in the opening phase, but FC Dordrecht could thank goalkeeper Liam Bossin that the score was not opened early. The teams seemed to rest on the board with the glasses on, but just before the break Ruben van Bommel hit the target after a cross from Jarne Steuckers. Early in the second half, Van Bommel hit the crossbar. After Bossin had also prevented Steuckers from scoring, Clint Essers put an end to all uncertainty in the 78th minute. He got the ball out of whack and hit the far corner: 2-0. Samuele Longo made the 2-1 from the turn, but that was it.
