Borussia Dortmund did not make a mistake in the Bundesliga on Wednesday evening. The home match against last-placed Greuther Fürth resulted in a 3-0 victory with a double by Erling Braut Haaland and a goal by Donyell Malen. The Dutchman made his entrance as a substitute in minute 75. He was missing on Saturday due to illness against VfL Bochum (1-1) and made use of the free time to shave his head, as it turned out on Wednesday. Dortmund are six points behind leaders Bayern Munich. The match between Bayer Leverkusen and TSG Hoffenheim, the numbers three and four respectively, ended in a 2-2 draw.

Borussia Dortmund – Greuther Furth 3-0
Haaland has shown that he has not forgotten scoring since his return from a hip injury and proved that once again against Greuther Fürth. The striker was allowed to take a penalty after 32 minutes after his shot was touched by Maximilian Bauer. Without hesitation, Haaland searched the left corner: 1-0. Halfway through the first half, the Dortmund marksman had already prepared a Thorgan Hazard goal, but the latter was offside and could not celebrate for long.

In the final phase of the first half, Haaland demanded a red card when he was knocked over by Jetro Willems, because in his view Haaland had broken through, but Willems got away with a yellow card. The subsequent free kick by Marco Reus was kept out of the goal by keeper Sascha Burchert. Greuther Fürth became dangerous a number of times, but a second goal by Haaland, a powerful header from a free kick by Julian Brandt, decided the game. Malen decided the game by cutting out defender Marco Meyerhöfer in the penalty area and outsmarting Burchert.

Bayer Leverkusen – TSG Hoffenheim 2-2
Leverkusen, without the injured Dutch trio Mitchel Bakker, Jeremie Frimpong and Timothy Fosu-Mensah, seemed to take the lead after four minutes. However, Florian Wirtz’s opening goal was disallowed for offside. Because Piero Hincapié then shot against the post on behalf of Leverkusen, Chris Richards headed the crossbar against the crossbar and Hoffenheim keeper Oliver Baumann showed excellent reflexes after attempts by Patrik Schick and Wirtz, it remained at 0-0 for the rest. Shortly after the break, Leverkusen was shocked when Pavel Kaderabek suddenly appeared in front of the goal, but from close range he encountered keeper Lukás Hrádecky.

In the second half, Schick doubled the margin with a header from a cross by Hincapié and so there seemed to be nothing to worry about for Leverkusen. However, with goals in minutes 80 and 83, Hoffenheim straightened out. Angelo Stiller made it 2-1 with a bet that ended up behind the line via Hrádecky and both goalposts; Munas Dabbur, another substitute for the visitors, scored beautifully with a heel ball from a cross by Georginio Rutter. As a result, the difference in the ranking between the two clubs remains only one point.

FC Augsburg – RB Leipzig 1-1
Leipzig seemed determined in the opening phase to put an end to the poor results of the last few weeks. Emil Forsberg aimed just wide, but André Silva scored in the nineteenth minute after an excellent pass from Benjamin Henrichs: 0-1. Leipzig was also stronger afterwards and had the misfortune that a goal from Forsberg was disallowed for offside fifteen minutes after the break. A handball from Henrichs ensured that Augsburg received a penalty in the final phase. That was used by Daniel Caligiuri: 1-1.
