Two people have shown a reprehensible banner in which the health situation of Henk de Jong is mocked. In a photo, allegedly taken on Wednesday night, they show the text ‘Cambuur gives you headaches’ and an image of a person apparently hanging from a gallows. The banner has been widely disapproved of on social media.
Cambuur currently has to do without De Jong. The trainer has a cyst in the head, or a blister that usually contains fluid. He is currently undergoing further examination and will then undergo a treatment course. Pascal Bosrischt, Martijn Barto and Peter van der Vlag are currently doing the honors in Leeuwarden.

It is not clear who will display the banner, but users on social media link it to Sunday’s upcoming Frisian derby against SC Heerenveen. “This really makes me very aggressive, but you know, the best and most beautiful revenge is sporting, so let the legs speak on the field on Sunday,” writes a Cambuur supporter on Twitter, for example.
Cambuur will first play a cup match against NEC on Thursday evening at home. It will be completed from 6 p.m. Last Friday Cambuur won 1-3 against Willem II in the first game without De Jong. Before the duel, the Leeuwarders honored the sick trainer by shirts with the text In Henk we trust to show.
