Fenerbahçe dreams of the arrival of Diego Costa, according to several Turkish media reports. The 31-year-old striker of Atlético Madrid is to be the successor in Istanbul to Vedat Muriqi, who was recently sold to Lazio for eighteen million euros. Diego Costa has one more season tied up in the Wanda Metropolitano and will be allowed to leave with the right bid.

At Fenerbahçe, Emre Belozoglu was recently appointed as technical director. The former midfielder played six months for Atlético Madrid in the 2012/13 season and knows Diego Costa from that period. Emre recently contacted the Spanish-Brazilian centre striker by phone in the hope of convincing him to come to Fenerbahçe.
