Feyenoord starts on Saturday evening with João Teixeira in the base at the home game with FC Emmen. The Portuguese midfielder gets a chance from Dick Advocaat, who has to do without the injured Leroy Fer and Mark Diemers. Furthermore, Uros Spajic, still basic player against PSV (1-1), disappears from the starting team. The kick-off is at 8 p.m. in De Kuip.

Nick Marsman retains the preference of Attorney under the bar, while Justin Bijlow is on the bench. Spajic falls victim to the system change implemented by the coach: Feyenoord still played against PSV with five defenders, but thinks that four rearguard players are enough against Emmen. Lutsharel Geertruida, Eric Botteghin, Marcos Senesi and Tyrell Malacia form that defense. That means Ridgeciano Haps will have to watch again from the reserve bench.

In midfield, the choice was limited due to the injuries of Fer and Diemers. Jens Toornstra and Orkun Kökçü therefore welcome Teixeira on the diaphragm, who is in the base for the first time since December 13. The permanent vanguard, consisting of Steven Berghuis, Bryan Linssen and Luis Sinisterra, remains intact.

Line-up Feyenoord: Marsman; Geertruida, Botteghin, Senesi, Malacia; Toornstra, Kökçü, Teixeira; Berghuis, Linssen, Sinisterra

Line-up FC Emmen: Verrips; Ax, Araujo, Bakker, Cavlan; Bernadou, Flat, Frei; Peña, Adzic, De Leeuw
