PSV faces a 1-2 deficit in the half-time of the Europa League match with Real Sociedad. The Eindhoven team took the lead through Mario Götze, but quickly relinquished it. Johan Derksen lashes out at PSV goalkeeper Joël Drommel, who, according to him, should have come out to pluck the cross to Alexander Isak.

Both goals were scored on the left side of the PSV defense. Twice the steamy right back Joseba Zaldúa of Real Sociedad was given plenty of space to deliver a cross. The first was tagged in by Adnan Januzaj, the second was slid in by Isak five minutes later. “That keeper can come off the line, right?” Derksen wonders at Veronica. “The ball comes to five meters. If you don’t grab it, he can type it in like that. He always stays on the line. He certainly doesn’t take points. He’s just not a goalkeeper who is suitable for top football.”

Derksen is disappointed in the first 45 minutes of PSV anyway. “They have a kind of senseless preponderance,” said the analyst. “The danger at PSV has actually come from the wingers lately, but they have not created any opportunities now. Possession of the ball does not result in opportunities.” Wim Kieft has an explanation for this. “They become dangerous if they can get in for the shot, and there is no room for that,” Kieft said. “Real Sociedad defends very well.”
