Johan Derksen tempers the mood around Luis Sinisterra. The 22-year-old left winger of Feyenoord has been complimented a lot in recent weeks, but Derksen thinks the Colombian is ‘not a great player’. “We are so quick to call footballers top talents these days,” Derksen said in a statement Veronica Inside.

Sinisterra was also unable to convince Derksen against Fortuna Sittard (5-0 win) last Sunday. “I once paid a lot of attention to Sinisterra against Fortuna, but he also does a lot of wrong,” says the analyst. “Occasionally something nice, but that’s not a really big player. I think it’s not too bad, everything has to be done with his right foot. He can’t do anything with the left. He avoids his left leg, so as a defender you always know where he is going goes.”

René van der Gijp knows that it would be good for the market value of Sinisterra if he had a base place at Colombia. “But he has the bad luck that a left winger plays at FC Porto (Luis Díaz, ed.), who is really that good,” says Van der Gijp. “He’s so god damn good, I saw him play recently. Sinisterra doesn’t play one-two-three, he has to watch out for that.”

Fredrik Aursnes, Sinisterra’s teammate, is also discussed in the talk show. The midfielder came from Norway for less than a million euros last summer and has been on the starting line since the end of October. “That boy was already a ball grabber, but you can now also see him claiming balls without talking,” says Hans Kraaij junior. “The center defenders also give him the ball more and more often. I have the impression that it is a bit – and maybe I am charging – the new Wim Jansen.”

Derksen, however, is less impressed with Aursnes. “Well, I think that’s a bit exaggerated. I think he should be happy that he can participate. I think he’s an extremely boring, meaningless footballer. Trainers always find that useful players.”
